Horsham Piazza Italia Rally - Sunday 11th April 2009

22 Alfa's from K&ES, who were joined by 6 cars from Alfa Owner, all arrived at the start in Rusper village, to join another 25 cars (approx) invited by Rusper Alfa Romeo, with the amount of Alfa's in Rusper High Street, it was a tad tricky for other traffic to get through.

All cars left in convoy at about 11-40am for the drive to Horsham Town Centre, where helpers from Horsham District Council, along with Rob Lawlor from Rusper Alfa, directed the cars into their display positions, members were then free to visit the attractions, which included:- The Italian Market, Bridgestone F1 show, complete with F1 Ferrari, Ducati Motor Bikes were on show, you could win a car for a pound, race on the multi-lane Scalextric, visit the Supercar display, with cars from Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Zonda etc, as well as visit shops and restaurants.

We did have a little rain, but not enough to dampen our enjoyment, in fact, after moving from our display area at about 3-45, some members parked in the car park for another visit to the shops.

This was an excellent event enjoyed by all, and a big thankyou to Garry Mortimer-Cook and his team from Horsham District Council, also Rob Lawlor and Angus McLeod of Rusper Alfa Romeo and your own K&ES section Committee.
