McLaren Technology Centre - Saturday 20th August 2011

On 20th August we visited McLaren Technology Centre at Woking, where 17 of the original 22 Alfa’s entered, were displayed at their Motor Show, once our cars were parked up, we could visit the Boulevard, where GP Cars from past & present are on display, along with Sports-cars, including Can-Am, we could observe carbon fibre components being worked on, change wheels on an F1 car and view the many trophy’s on display, the building is a fantastic design and spotlessly clean, there were many cars of other makes on display outside, including Ferrari and lot’s of motorbikes.

An F1 car was displayed in the top deck of one of the McLaren Transporters, where we could walk underneath and see the design of the underside, the show included a ‘Wall of Death’ Motorcycle team and a playground with bouncy things for the children, an excellent day was had by all and we would like to say a really big thank you to Dave Champion and Simon Wait at McLaren for inviting us to take part.
